Isla Mujeres Custom Caribbean Sea, Playa Norte Sunset Elopement | Amanda + Trevor
Amanda and Trevor met a year ago at a casino and ended up hanging out until 2am on a Monday night!
I asked Trevor what his first impression of Amanda was and his response was “there is no way a girl that gorgeous could be single until my brother told me she asked if I was single.” Gotta love that energy!
The both new the other was ‘the one’ when they were joking about booking a trip to Las Vegas on their third date, but really neither was joking. They shared a few cocktails at a bar browsing Expedia for flights and hotels and both said “I’m serious, are you?” So they booked the trip on the spot!
Neither of them had been to Isla Mujeres before, but a coworker recommend the island and after doing some research, they thought it would be a unique location that would feel extremely special for their destination wedding.
Amanda and Trevor’s relationship has been very untraditional. They booked a trip to Vegas on their third date, moved in together after a month, got engaged after five months and chose to elop in Mexico! Romantic is what I’d say!
Amanda and Trevor wanted something different, beautiful and unique. They loved the idea of a private ceremony with the waves crashing behind them, but they also wanted to have sunset photos so we developed a custom collection for them that provided both.
We started with their elopement ceremony on the east side of the island among the rocky shore with crashing waves. After their ceremony, we headed to Playa Norte, the public beach, for sunset photos. We found a corner of the beach where there were no people which was perfect! The sky was ominous which always makes me happy. I personally think these ‘sunset’ images are way better than the big ball of the sun only.
