Isla Mujeres LGBTQ Punta Sur Elopement | Morgan + Krys

Morgan and Krys decided to stay in Cancun, but make their way over to the island for their special elopement ceremony at Punta Sur.

My question to Morgan on how they met Krys was met with the most romantic response…”I immediately fell in love with her even though she didn’t know who I was”. Morgan immediately called their friends and told them they were in love and of course, they laughed and thought they were just being a ridiculous and hopeless romantic. Although they never officially met that day, they did two years later when they matched on a dating website.

Although Krys didn’t know Morgan was ‘the one’ on that first date, it was only their second date that sealed the deal!

Morgan had first come to the island during a trip with a friend about ten years ago and immediately fell in love with it. When they went to Punta Sur on this trip, they knew they would get married there one day. A few years back, Morgan brought Krys to the island and shared their feelings about Punta Sur and that’s how the decision was made!

They chose to have their Punta Sur ceremony at Ixchel’s Well of Fortune site in honor of the Mayan goddess.

Before their ceremony, we walked around the cliffs and took photos and enjoyed exploring all that is the south point of the island.

Sabina and I were honored to be there for this incredible couple and we wish both Morgan and Krys all the happiness in the world!
