Jenna + Owen’s Destination Micro Wedding on Isla Mujeres: A Love Story of Heart and Serendipity

When Jenna and Owen decided to tie the knot, they knew they wanted something unique, intimate, and unforgettable. Isla Mujeres, a hidden gem off the coast of Mexico, became the perfect setting for their destination micro wedding. Neither of them had visited the island before, but after doing a little research, they fell in love with its beauty, charm, and relaxed vibe. They saw it as the ideal backdrop to celebrate their love, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Jenna and Owen’s love story began in September 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic. In a time when the world felt uncertain, their connection was instant. Jenna recalls the moment they met, describing Owen as having a heart of gold. She felt completely comfortable around him from the very beginning. Owen echoed her sentiments, saying he immediately felt like he’d found someone special. Their connection grew stronger with time, and by the time they decided to marry, they knew they wanted to do something extraordinary to celebrate their love.

The ceremony took place on a private stretch of beach on Isla Mujeres, with just 14 of their closest family members and friends present. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the couple as they exchanged vows, promising to love each other forever. It was the perfect intimate celebration, where the sound of the waves and the soft rustling of palm trees seemed to be nature's way of blessing their union.

Adding to the magic of the day was Alejandro, a local guitarist who played Spanish and Bossa Nova tunes during the ceremony. His melodies drifted through the air, creating an atmosphere of romance and serenity as Jenna and Owen shared their vows.

Before the ceremony, the couple had a pre-ceremony photo session at Punta Sur, one of Isla Mujeres’ most stunning locations. To see highlights from this session, click [here].

Jenna and Owen’s wedding was a testament to their love, not only for each other but also for their families and the memories they were creating. Isla Mujeres turned out to be the perfect place to begin their next chapter as husband and wife.
