Isla Mujeres Punta Sur Elopement | Jamie + Nate
I love the story of how Jamie and Nate decided to have their destination elopement on Mexico’s Isla Mujeres. Nate loves architecture and when he saw the design and craftsmanship of the Shell House (Casa Caracol) he was blown away and wanted to see it. Jamie, on the other hand, had more of a normal reaction to the island…beach, yes! Turquoise blue water, yes! Warm weather and sunshine, yes!
They initially planned on exchanging their vows at the house, but once they saw the photos from Punta Sur, they quickly changed their minds.
After scouring our website and looking through the photos, they decided the Lookout Balcony was the location they wanted to say I DO. First though, I met up with them for some photos around the cliffs of the island’s south point.
Sabina designed a beautiful ceremony for this wonderful couple who not only wrote their own vows, but listened to a blessing that was pre-recorded by Nate’s dad. How sweet is that!
After their first kiss, they tossed petals into the Caribbean Sea as an offering to the Mayan goddess, Ixchel.
